Football, like any other contact sport is known for it’s fair share of injuries and while most of them are not nasty, once in a while you do get to see an injury that makes your blood curdle. One such injury came up in a Scottish Championship game between Livingston and Hearts on Saturday at the Energy Assets Arena.
Livingston captain Jason Talbot was lucky not to have a disciplinary panel inquiry set against him after making a horror tackle on Hearts midfielder Sam Nicholson. The home team captain made the shocking challenge on his opponent right on the stroke of half time with the away team in the lead by a goal to nil and exactly how he escaped with only a yellow is an absolute mystery. Nicholson was pictured after the game with puncture marks on his face and stitches above his right eye.
