Popular British comedian Russell Brand failed to control his joy after West Ham, his boyhood team managed to secure a famous victory over current Premier League holders Manchester City. Goals from Morgan Amalfitano and Diafra Sakho gave the home team a two goal lead which City only managed to halve after David Silva’s second half goal. The 2-1 win over the Citizens gave West Ham their fifth win of the season and consolidated their place in the top four of the Barclays Premier League.
The jubilance that overtook Upton Park at full time was nothing compared to what Russell Brand managed to exhibit. The actor and comedian gatecrashed the post-match interview that West Ham manager Sam Allardyce was having with Sky Sports and managed to land a few kisses on Big Sam’s cheek, on live TV!
