The mascot thumbs his nose at Joe Hart before the match between Man City and West Ham
Kids these days! If I were lucky enough to be the mascot of my favourite club then I would have surely been half paralyzed due to the size of occasion. But that was not the case with one cheeky West Ham mascot who did not let the importance of the occasion overwhelm his true naughty self.
West ham ultimately won the game by 2 goals to 1 after Amalfitano opened the scoring for the home team
The mascot in question did everything right starting from walking out on to the pitch from the tunnel, politely shaking the hands of the officials and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, but when he reached their goalkeeper Joe Hart, he initially offered his hand but then just as the England ‘keeper was about to come forward and finish the formality, the young mascot took his hand back in a classic thumbing of the nose! Joe Hart, to his credit seemed absolutely unfazed by this stunt and went on with show without showing even the slightest bit of emotion.
Is this an example of brazen impudence or just some harmless banter?
