Demirel and Melo square off in the Turkish Super Cup final
Football players nowadays are under a lot of pressure to perform and once in a while the situation may tend to get the better of them. But what Galatasaray goalkeeper Volkan Demirel tried to pull off is best left unsaid.
The event in question took place in the Turkish Super Cup final where Istanbul rivals Galastasaray lined up against fierce city rivals Fenerbahce. Normal time ended with scores at 1-1 and the game went to penalties when Brazilian Felipe Melo representing Galatasaray woefully missed his kick prompting Fenerbahce keeper Volkan Demirel to do something that no one could have imagined.
