Juan Roman Riquelme stopped the game to pay his respect to Martin Palermo who pulled off a sublime nutmeg
Juan Roman Riquelme is a name familiar to all of us football fans who have been following the game for a while now. The Argentina legend had a stellar career in Europe playing for Villareal in La Liga, but this time he’s grabbed eye balls for a different reason. The retired star was taking part in a testimonial match held in honour of former Boca Juniors man Sebastian Battaglia.
The event included many former Boca stars such as Riquelme himself and also Martin Palermo who is responsible for the most eye catching event on the night. Palermo pulled off a sensational nutmeg cum pass to Riquelme in the middle of the pitch, who honoured the silky piece of skill by actually stopping the game and celebrating it with his fellow Argentinean.
