German side Borussia Dortmund have found themselves in the news this season for all the wrong reasons. Last season’s runner-ups were bottom of the table before their game against Hoffenheim on Friday. In fact, their form in the league has been so poor that they started their last game with more points in the Champions League than they did in the Bundesliga. The scenario however, is a little bit better now after they managed to pull off a 1-0 win over Hoffenheim in front of their fans at the Westfalenstadion. Ilkay Gundogan’s first goal since April, 2013 decided what was a rather tense affair.
But probably the most eye catching event of the night however came after the game was over when the whole arena belted out a stunning rendition of “Jingle Bells” along with their idols who were jumping on the pitch. The video is enough to leave its audience dumbfounded and the thought of being part of that crowd gives me a feeling that I will surely not be able to describe.
