Scotland beat England?

Not quite but yesterday for at least two minutes they thought they were going to before an injury time Harry Kane volleyed shot late into injury time got England an equaliser in a dramatic finish to the game.

Yesterday was Saturday 10th June and for most of us we were in summer and non-football mode having thought the football season was actually over. All the domestic leagues and cup finals had taken place and I’d imagine that most players were wanting to be on holiday. It certainly felt like that for most of the Scotland vs England game at Hampden Park as it was a poor and slow game.

Thankfully substitute Oxlade-Chamberlain, who’d only been on the pitch for five minutes after coming on for Rashford, scored with deflected shot on 70′ minutes. A determined but under whelming Scotland were desperate not to lose to the English and tried to get back into it. However it never looked it was going to come.

Then a dramatic three minutes right at the end of the game when England gave away two silly free kicks in s very similar position. The first one on 87′ minutes was curled over the wall by Griffiths and into Joe Hart’s bottom left corner. On 90′ minutes Griffiths did the same again except this time he curled it in the other direction and this time to the right of the despairing Hart. Hampden erupted.

I think most of Scotland did and were still three minutes later in the last-minute of the three added minutes of injury time. However England captain Kane got on the end of a Sterling cross, after Scotland had given the ball away, and silenced the crowd who were stunned.
