Awkwardness is an integral part of our lives. We’ve all faced it before and we’ll all face it again. There is nothing more humiliating than getting caught in an awkward situation with anyone who is not a close friend or a member of the family. It’s even worse when you get caught in an awkward situation with an adversary that you are about to face off against.
That is exactly what happened yesterday when Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal squared up for the pre-match handshake before their match at Old Trafford. Brendan Rodgers went in for the hand shake while his counterpart went in for the shoulder tap. What resulted was a major mess. By the end of it, it seemed as if both were lining up to do the Tango!
