I’m sure every single one of you reading this article right now played some form of football simulation game during your years as a football fan. If so, then I’m sure that you’ve heard of Football Manager as the epic football management simulation game has taken up a cult status over the course of these years.

One Football Manager fan though, has taken his passion for the game on to a new level. Alessandro Colombini, an Italian student from Livorno has actually made a 5000km round trip to watch Irish side, Derry City play against Limerick City. The student began to support Derry after he started to manage them in Football Manager when he was only 16 and now, he’s become such  an ardent fan of the club that actually made the effort to travel all the way from Italy to Northern Ireland. I’ll let you decide whether he’s crazy or a true fanatic, but call it what you want, this boy has some guts!
